WILLIAM WANG
William has coached volleyball at middle schools, high school, and clubs for girls and boys ages 12-18. William currently coaches the junior varsity boys and girls teams at Venice High School. He was a Middle Blocker when he played and still enjoys playing today.
Diego Uribe
A fierce competitor with a lifelong passion for volleyball, Diego Uribe played both outside hitter and setter at Venice High School before moving into coaching. He brings six years of coaching experience to Westside.
Diego combines a strong technical knowledge of the game with the competitive energy he expects from his players. He can also still outjump most of them—at least for a few more years.
Above all, Diego is a great coach, teammate, and all-around good guy who cares about his players and takes pride in helping them improve both individually and as a team.
NATHAN HOGGATT
Coach Nathan led Westside's middle school program to a strong showing last season--including Westside's first ever hardware at the Socal Equinox and a top 5 finish at Nationals in 2026. This year he will be taking the 15s to new heights.
A graduate of Venice High School and an all-City middle blocker during his playing days--which continue to today--Nathan is beloved on and off his court for his ability to connect with his players.
LORA BARTHOL
For the last several years Lora has coached club locally. Lora played at Venice High under legendary Coach Myra Einberg as a defensive specialist. In addition to volleyball, Lora has extensive experience working with children as a special education teacher.
